How many times does the class meet? Enter how many times this class will meet. We suggest 1 to 6 times, with the majority of classes meeting only once. If you want to teach a class that will take 6 meetings to complete, we encourage you to first offer an introductory course so students can sample your class before committing to 6 class meetings. Think of your student’s time limits when planning your class.
How long is each class meeting? How many hours will each class meeting last. We suggest 1 to 3 hours, with most classes being one hour. Think of your student’s time limits when planning your class.
Offer the class more than once? Do you want to offer the same class more than once during this class catalog semester? We really encourage new teachers to offer then class only a single time during the first semester.

Teacher Pay: Indicate the total payment you require per student. This pay is a total for all class meetings, for example if you indicate that you need $5 per student and the class will meet twice, then then each student will pay a total of $5. We encourage our instructors to keep their teaching fees as low as possible, generally between $0 and $10 per student. The People’s School will add $5 per student to the teacher pay that you indicate. This $5 is to cover the administrative costs associated with running the School.
Best Days...: Indicate here what days of the week, dates, and times are acceptable for this class. Please be as open with the ’best days’ as possible, as we will use these to schedule the class in donated class space which will also have days, dates, and time restrictions. If you are providing your own class space, you may set the dates and times as you wish. We will contact you with a proof that includes actual dates, times, and location before the catalog goes to print. Think of your student’s time limits when planning your class.
Place to hold class? If you have a place to hold the class, please detail that location here. If you do not have a location, we will do our best to find you a location. Please indicate any special requirements you would have a location such as projector, DVD Player, etc… We will try to find a location that meets your ‘best day’ limitation and special requirements. |
